Raised in the equipment business, Ivor Venema and partner, John Glazema, founded Handlers Equipment Ltd. in 1991 to sell used equipment and used parts. Since that beginning, the company has become one of the largest North American importers of used Japanese tractors and has continued to add other farm and industrial equipment to their lineup over the years.
In 2001, Handlers started selling diesel crawler rice harvesters to hobby farmers. This quickly flourished into the new and used sales of the coveted Morooka, IHI and Canycon rubber track dumpers. Alongside the dumpers, extensive research went into the development and building department to now manufacture track chassis undercarriages. The dumpers and chassis are sold primarily to those in the mining, oil field and conveyor system businesses across the globe.
Finding a tractor brand that could compete with other new tractors in today’s market was very important and in 2009, Handlers became a dealer for the number one selling tractor in the world, Mahindra. Today, Handlers is British Columbia’s highest selling Mahindra dealership with partner depots in Princeton and Houston, BC.
With helpful, dedicated and honest salespeople and certified technicians, Handlers works to meet the individual needs of each and every customer. All equipment goes through extensive inspections and testing to ensure a problem free, ready-to-work piece of machinery. After 21 years of service in British Columbia, Handlers is here to help you with all your equipment needs for anything you need to accomplish.
Since it began, Handlers has supported a variety of non-profit organizations both locally as well as internationally. In 2012, they are pleased to have supported the following charitable organizations: Life Recovery Association, Abilitas Foundation, Hope for Korah and FH Canada.
